BBC Radio 4 Extra - Oliver Sacks - On the Move Omnibus. Listen Again

In On the Move, Oliver Sacks, the neurologist and
best-selling author, who is probably best known for his book, The Man Who
Mistook His Wife for a Hat, recounts his fascinating life story. Here he delves
into his early fascination with speed, his experiences as a young neurologist
and his work with his patients. He tells how his work with a group of the
chronically ill, who lay forgotten in the back wards of a New York hospital
shaped his work as a clinician, and led him to write about them movingly in one
of his earliest books, Awakenings.

The Mystery of Murder - Horizon Guide with Dr Michael Moseley shown 12/3/15 now available on watch again

There are about 600 murders each year in the UK. So, what drives people to kill? Are some people born to kill or are they driven to it by circumstances?
In this programme, Michael Mosley delves into the BBC archives to chart scientists' progress as they probed the mind of the murderer to try to understand why people kill, and to find out whether by understanding murder we can prevent it.
