Online opportunities and risks for young people: Free Training Day for Tavistock & Portman Staff and Trainees Tuesday 19 November

We are putting on a lively and interactive training day for Tavistock & Portman staff and trainees. All welcome: CAMHS, SAAMHS and Portman

Title: Online opportunities and risks for young people.

Date: Tuesday 19th of November

Timing: 10am to 4pm, including lunch

Venue: Tavistock Clinic: Main Lecture Theatre

We have a range of speakers lined up and we are very pleased that Annie Mullins OBE, a national authority on this issue, is able to spend the day with us. We are also planning small group discussions and a plenary event.

As many of you will know the death of a young person last year, who spent a lot of time on line, has prompted us to conclude that the basis of any assessment of "on line risk" is that we all need to be as up to date as possible with what young people are dong on line and why.

This day will give people the opportunity to "get with it" as far as online life is concerned, and then explore how we can help to protect the vulnerable young people that we work with.

We hope that as many as possible will be able to attend this event.

Look out for registration details in the next few days

kind regards

Andy Wiener
Associate Director, CAMHS
