This week is the UK’s first Infant Mental Health AwarenessWeek. The event runs from 6-10 June and aims to discuss factors that influence the mental wellbeing of babies and infants.
Several high-profile organisations
are involved, including PIP UK, Public Health England, Royal College of Midwives and Institute of Health Visiting.
Part of the campaign involves promoting the ‘The 1001 Critical Days’ manifesto,
which highlights the importance of early intervention in the 1001 days between
conception to age 2 to improve outcomes for children.
